Host, Entrant, Exhibitor, Curator, and keen Spectator!
Most enthusiasts have visited a car show or two over the years, perusing the impressive cars on display, spotting out rare and unusual models, and sharing the passion with like minded enthusiasts. Visiting a show as a spectator is a great day out with family or friends, and even better if you are attending with your own pride and joy!
My biggest achievement with regards to car shows has been organising and hosting the Survivor Car & Barn Find Show Spectacular, which was held in March of 2018 at the incredible Shannons Auction facility in Heatherton, VIC. The show was filled with dozens and dozens of the best Survivor Cars in Australia, many which had been feature stories in the Survivor Car Australia magazine. The centrepiece of the show was the famous ‘Mothball’ XA Falcon GT, displayed covered in dust and cobwebs, with flat tyres and all! This show was a massive sucess for Survivor Car Australia, with huge input from the entire SCA team.

As an exhibitor, I’ve had experience at major car show events such as MotorEx, The Geelong Revival, Hanging Rock Car Show, All Ford Day in Geelong, and many more! It is great to get amongst fellow enthusiasts and share stories and memories about classic cars.
One of the premier classic car shows in Australia is the Motorclassica Concours D’Elegance, which is held annually at the Royal Melbourne Exhibition Building in Melbourne, VIC. This show features world class cars from across this great country and from all over the world, promising to have cars on display that have never been seen before!
Over the years at Motorclassics I’ve been involved in stage presentations and expert interviews, radio interviews with 3AW host Dennis Walter, exhibitor stands for Survivor Car Australia magazine, with special guests Allan Moffat and Fred Gibson, attending the VIP launch events, and much more!! If you’ve never been to Motorclassica, it is without doubt a car show you cannot miss!
